The franchise began with an 85-episode science fiction anime TV series adaptation produced by Harmony Gold USA in association with Tatsunoko Production Co., Ltd. and first released in the United States in 1985. It was adapted from these three original Japanese television series:

Under the lincense permission of Harmony Gold USA Inc, a new HK manufacturer, Kitz Concept Ltd., designed a series of action figures of VF fighter, a well-known transformable fighter from Robotech animation series. As the second product of this SUPER-DEFORMED series, this time we present you Rick Hunter's VF-1J Veritech Fighter!
Although the figure is a deformed design and only about 5.5 inches tall, it is still fully-transformable and motional. If you are a fan of Robotech series, make sure not to miss this amazing product!
