The desert Reptiles tribes eking out a living in the wasteland and desert have slowly evolved a culture of banditry, and from there an organized group known as the Rovers. The Rovers do not prey on other tribes; rather, they specialize in raiding merchant caravans passing through. They also explore the wasteland's Arche ruins, and control logistics and assembly operations in the wasteland. As such, they organize and maintain the flow of resources throughout the area.
Most of their number is made up of the fighters known as the Desert Rangers. Unlike bandits, who have abandoned the tribal code, the Desert Rangers are relatively cool-headed. They live by the law of survival in the wasteland: Blue crystal is my lifeblood. Raiding for resources is more than a means of survival—it's the source of their strength.
Regardless of age or gender, anyone who demonstrates their toughness and determination to raid for the sake of the Reptiles tribes' survival is accepted as a Desert Ranger.
The Desert Rangers found themselves hard-pressed to match Veck's armored, highly mobile Arche Soldiers. Driven by their will to survival, they set about improving their own equipment. Now they wear a simple power pack around their waists to charge up their swords and axes, improving their odds of damaging Arche armor and thus allowing them to weave in and out of Arche Solider formations during a fight.
On the whole, the Desert Rangers remain traditional fighters, with significant ability to turn the tide. Though the Desert Rangers have yet to equip themselves with Arche Armor, their Lizard Cannon Carriages endow them with high mobility and quick-strike capabilities. An intrepid band of Desert Rangers backed up by Lizard Cannon Carriages forms an organic fighting force capable of carrying out stealth attacks on distant targets. Sustained by their will to survive in the wasteland, they can operate in the wasteland for long periods of time independent of organized resupply.
